Job Description

Locum Ready is recruiting a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to help cover additional demand in a patient focused practice in Carlisle.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment for acute primary care presentations
• Contribute to triage and allocation of same day appointments when required
• Prescribe and manage medications safely in accordance with guidelines
• Arrange referrals, investigations and follow up with clear documentation
• Deliver patient advice, self management guidance and robust safety netting
• Work within practice protocols and support quality improvement where appropriate

Requirements
• ACP qualification with evidence of advanced clinical practice competence
• Relevant professional registration and up to date revalidation
• Independent Prescriber qualification where applicable to the scope of the post
• Recent experience managing minor illness and urgent presentations autonomously
• Understanding of safeguarding, infection prevention and clinical risk management
• Comfortable using clinical systems and working to agreed appointment structures

Working Pattern
• Up to 4 days per week with flexible options for regular sessions or ad hoc cover
• Locum shifts available across a range of start dates to suit your diary
• Session plan can be tailored around clinic type and service needs
