Job Description

Locum Ready is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support a busy and supportive GP surgery in Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities
• Undertake autonomous clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning
• Manage acute presentations and undifferentiated illness in primary care
• Prescribe safely and appropriately within scope and local policy
• Request and interpret investigations and initiate management plans
• Provide health promotion, advice and safety netting with clear documentation
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of care

Requirements
• Registered Nurse with ANP qualification at Masters level or equivalent experience
• Independent Prescriber with up to date clinical practice in primary care
• Confidence managing minor illness and minor injury presentations
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and infection control
• Excellent communication skills and a patient focused approach
• Right to work in the UK and relevant professional registration

Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days per week with flexibility on which days are covered
• Mix of same day appointments and planned clinics depending on service need
• Immediate and short notice bookings available with ongoing options
