Job Description
Locum Ready is looking for Advanced Clinical Practitioners in Westgate-on-Sea.
You will work in practices that value advanced practice, with clear clinical governance, consistent operational support and well-defined patient pathways. The environment is set up to help you focus on clinical delivery, with organised appointment systems, reliable reception support and straightforward escalation routes.
Up to 2 days a week available, with flexibility on session timings.
Role Snapshot
• Locum ACP cover for on-the-day demand and selected planned activity, aligned to your skill set and agreed practice protocols.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver advanced assessment, diagnosis and management within scope of practice.
• Provide clinical triage and manage acute presentations with appropriate escalation.
• Initiate treatment plans, referrals and follow-up in line with pathways.
• Prescribe safely where qualified and ensure robust documentation and coding.
• Support long-term condition care where appropriate to the role profile.
• Participate in safeguarding processes and uphold clinical governance requirements.
Requirements
• Registered healthcare professional with ACP-level experience in primary care.
• Independent Prescriber qualification desirable depending on booking requirements.
• Evidence of safe autonomous practice and strong clinical decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within MDT structures.
• Comfortable using EMIS or SystmOne and standard practice workflows.
• Full compliance readiness for primary care placements.
Working Pattern
• Contract, locum, temporary or part-time options available.
• Up to 2 days per week, with regular weekly sessions or ad-hoc cover.
• Clear expectations agreed in advance on clinic type, support and escalation.
