Job Description

Locum Ready is looking for Advanced Nurse Practitioners in Kintbury.

You will join organised practices with consistent demand, strong reception support and clear clinical oversight, allowing you to focus on patient care rather than admin. The set-up includes defined workflows for same-day access, robust prescribing processes and straightforward referral routes to support confident autonomous practice.

Up to 2 days a week available, with flexibility on how sessions are booked.

Role Snapshot
• Locum ANP cover delivering urgent on-the-day care and planned reviews, with dependable systems and clear escalation to the duty GP or clinical lead.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage acute presentations using an advanced clinical assessment framework.
• Undertake long-term condition reviews and medicines optimisation within scope.
• Prescribe independently and safely, ensuring appropriate follow-up and safety-netting.
• Assess, treat and refer according to local pathways and NICE guidance.
• Support vaccination, minor illness and respiratory pathways where required.
• Maintain high-quality records, coding and correspondence handling.

Requirements
• NMC registration and evidence of advanced practice competencies.
• V300 Independent Prescriber status.
• Primary care experience managing undifferentiated presentations.
• Confident working independently while collaborating within an MDT.
• Good familiarity with clinical risk management and safety-netting.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and appropriate compliance documentation.

Working Pattern
• Contract, locum, part-time or temporary arrangements available.
• Up to 2 days per week, with regular weekly sessions or ad-hoc blocks.
• Remote admin expectations and clinic support agreed before booking.
