Job Description

Locum Ready is looking for General Practitioners in Deri.

You will be placed into practices that prioritise clinician support, with stable clinical leadership, dependable admin workflows and sensible booking processes. Expect clear protocols for repeat prescribing, results handling and referrals, plus an MDT environment that helps share workload appropriately.

Up to 3 days a week available, with flexibility on regular or ad-hoc sessions.

Role Snapshot
• Locum GP sessions covering routine and urgent demand, with agreed clinic parameters and strong operational support.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver effective telephone and face-to-face consultations in line with local processes.
• Assess risk, safety-net appropriately and escalate complex cases when required.
• Undertake medication reviews and manage long-term conditions as needed.
• Complete clinical records, coding and documentation to a high standard.
• Process referrals and interpret results in line with agreed turnaround times.
• Contribute to continuity of care and team communication during sessions.

Requirements
• GMC registration with GP Register status.
• Current NHS performers list inclusion.
• Recent experience working in UK general practice.
• Comfortable using EMIS or SystmOne and standard primary care workflows.
• Sound clinical judgement with consistent documentation and coding.
• Right to work in the UK and full compliance readiness.

Working Pattern
• Temporary, locum, part-time or contract options available.
• Up to 3 days per week, with the option to pick up extra sessions when available.
• Workload profile and any admin expectations confirmed before you start.
