Job Description

Locum Ready is recruiting a Locum Practice Nurse to assist a well organised practice with short term nursing cover in Loughton.

Key Responsibilities
• Run treatment room clinics including wound care, ear care and injections
• Administer childhood and adult vaccinations as required by the clinic plan
• Support long term condition reviews and health promotion activity
• Perform phlebotomy, ECGs and routine observations where competent
• Follow infection prevention procedures and maintain clinical room standards
• Ensure accurate record keeping, coding and completion of nursing templates

Requirements
• NMC registered nurse with current UK primary care practice nurse experience
• Proven competence in treatment room duties and immunisations
• Phlebotomy and chronic disease skills beneficial depending on clinic needs
• Up to date training for safeguarding and basic life support
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different practice protocols
• Compliance checks including DBS and references as required

Working Pattern
• Up to 2 days per week with flexible session allocation and start dates
• Locum bookings available as single shifts or a regular weekly arrangement
• Opportunity to extend depending on service demand and your availability
