Job Description
Locum Ready is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join a supportive primary care team providing additional clinical capacity in Great Yarmouth.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose and treat minor illness presentations using evidence based practice
• Undertake clinical examinations and create management plans with safety netting
• Prescribe or supply medicines within scope and practice policy
• Request and interpret investigations and escalate concerns appropriately
• Provide patient education, self care advice and preventative health guidance
• Maintain high quality records, coding and adherence to clinical governance
Requirements
• NMC registration with relevant Nurse Practitioner training and primary care experience
• Independent Prescriber qualification preferred where applicable to the role
• Confidence working autonomously while collaborating with the wider team
• Up to date mandatory training including safeguarding and basic life support
• Strong communication skills with a calm and patient centred approach
• Eligibility to work in the UK and completion of compliance checks
Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days per week with flexible session allocation to match your availability
• Part time arrangement with options for ad hoc extra shifts
• Combination of planned clinics and same day appointments depending on demand
